Quality programming is offered in a safe, nurturing, and educational environment. Such programming aims to instill a passion for learning; enhance participants’ social skills; and raise awareness of what is required to become a positive, responsible citizen in a future, global community.
Driven by participant input, the MS 278 program provides homework assistance, specialty clubs, and theme oriented activities. Themes include: practical principles for successful living; youth leadership skills; selecting the best high school; healthy living;, biking with Bike New York; dance; fitness, and strategies for academic achievement. The program operates Monday – Friday (2:15 PM -5:15 PM.) and on select holidays. Summer programming is also provided.

Inwood Community Services, Inc. will offer a Sliding Fee Discount Program to all who are unable to pay for their services. Inwood Community Services, Inc. will not base program eligibility on a person’s ability to pay and will not discriminate on the basis of an individual’s race, color, sex, national origin, disability, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or ability to pay, or whether payment for those services would be made under Medicare, Medicaid, or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). The Federal Poverty Guidelines are used in creating and annually updating the sliding fee schedule to determine eligibility.
