Since 1979, Inwood Community Services, Inc. (ICS) has been offering its multi-service array of Counseling; Education; Employment; Prevention; and Recreation programs to thousands of this community’ s children, adolescents and adults annually.
We have persevered through Reaganomics; the tragedy of 9/11; the downing of Flight 587; the Crack Epidemic; the COVID pandemic; and the Opioid Crisis.
So please be assured that regardless of the outcome of the recent election, we have every intention of continuing to do so, and in fact, being even more present for the residents of this community.
Two examples of our commitment to the neediest among us are our Annual Turkey and Toy Drives. Every dollar we collect is transferred directly to those in need either:
- Through a Turkey Voucher (which is taken to our neighborhood FINE FARE to get a free turkey), or
- Via a TARGET Gift Card which is used by each family to purchase toys for their children.
