Charles Corliss, Ph.D., ABPP, is Executive Director of ICS.
Dr. Corliss is a licensed and board certified clinical psychologist who has been ICS’s Executive Director since its inception.
He has received numerous honors and awards including the NYC Community Services Society’s Ellen Lurie Community Service Award and the 34th Precinct Community Council Recognition Award. Dr. Corliss has held leadership positions in all major coalitions of not-for-profit organizations in upper Manhattan over the decades including: Chairperson of Target Behavioral Care, IPA; Chairperson of the Washington Heights Inwood Drug Prevention Partnership; Co-Chair of the Northern Manhattan Mental Health Council; Secretary of the Manhattan Mental Health Council; and Board Member of the NYC Agenda for Children Tomorrow Coalition; the NYS Neighborhood Based Alliance Collaborative; and the Kellogg Foundation’s Community Voices Initiative. A regular attendee at annual conventions of the American Psychological Association, Dr. Corliss has presented extensively on issues related to psychotherapy and disadvantaged populations. He is also a published author (i.e. two books by Routledge on the fogotten psychoanalyst Herbert Silberer).
